Confirmation
John 14:16-17 – "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."
In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit"
and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. The Sacrament of Confirmation is received in 7th Grade. In order to be Confirmed, one must already have received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, and First Holy Communion.
Have you been asked to be a Sponsor for Confirmation?
If you're a registered parishioner here at SFA, please contact the Rectory. We will schedule an appointment for you to meet with Father Smith to obtain a Letter of Eligibility to be a Sponsor for Confirmation. If you've been asked to be a Confirmation Sponsor and you are NOT registered here at Saint Francis, please reach out to the Catholic Church where you are registered to obtain that Letter. Guidelines for Confirmation Sponsor eligibility can be found here.
